The School

The School of Pediatrics is the result of 26 years of collaboration between the Chair of Pediatrics of the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” and the Institute for Treatment and Research Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital.

The concept of “School” raises through an integrated system of multidisciplinary theoretical and practical learning paths and processes. The aim is to lead the learner from the world of knowledge to that of know-how.

Didactics, taught by a faculty on national and international reputation, includes the Integrated Course of Pediatric Sciences of the Degree in Medicine and Surgery, both in Italian and English languages, the Residency School of Pediatrics, that offers in the specialist biennium the three paths foreseen by the current legislation, Master and Advanced Courses for professionals in the field, until the PhD Programme.

In the field of Research, the School praises seven prestigious collaboration at national and international level, which encourage the development of traslational medicine projects.

 

The School is provided with a Virtual Learning Environment forerunner platform, comprehensive of Logbook. The Platform represents, more than a didactic contemporaneous tool, a point of contact for learners, professionals and the faculty.
