Vascular Anomalies are a heterogeneous group of pathologies of diverse gravity that involve different organs and systems. These diseases are often chronic and complex, some of them are in the group of rare diseases even if only partially codified in a precise way. The management always requires a multidisciplinary approach. They are usually less known because they are not part of any teaching module of the Academic didactic path. The recent revision of the classification by ISSVA (International Society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies), along with the improvement of the Genetics and the discovery of innovative therapies made the diagnostic and therapeutic framework of patients improve. Moreover, some years ago the ISSVA was founded, to unify specialists of different disciplines, with the main objective of the education. Indeed, as the first demonstration of this will, some guidelines (nowadays published in Italian on the website of the ISSVA and in English on an international sector magazine) were instituted. Unfortunately, in Italy only few multidisciplinary Centers dedicated to the management and cure of these pathologies exist and often the patients are forced to move into University Hospitals in order to find answers that not always are adequate to their needs. Thus, the main purpose of this Advanced Course is to start a specific education that implements and spreads the knowledge about tumors and vascular malformations.
